FIRST LARGE-SCALE SPAY/NEUTER CLINIC STARTS TOMORROW IN SARTENEJA VILLAGE — SPONSORED BY SPAF!

In San Pedro Animal Foundation News, San Pedro Animal Hospital News // No Comments

Tomorrow I am volunteering at the first ever large-scale spay/neuter clinic in Sarteneja Village.  Our goal is 30 animals in 3 days!

Thank you to the following people who have helped make this happen:

Dr. Jennifer Newcomb – for coming out and giving me a break from doing surgeries and donating the needed drugs and supplies

Tracy of Operation S.A.F.E. in Illinois – Saving Animals From Euthanasia – for traveling all the way here and paying for both their flights.  SPAF could not afford to finance 30 more surgeries so these two have stepped up to the plate with their generosity and spirit of adventure.

Peter Lawrence of Pedro’s Inn

Hilly Martinez of Bowen and Bowen

Dr. Miguel Figueroa of BAHA

Dr. Miguel DePaz of the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Belize

Ms. Sharon Anderson of the Ministry of Health

Ms. Dana Crawford Smith of the Ministry of Finance.

SPAF DONORS – SPAF is taking care of licensing fees and miscellaneous expenses such as my flight to and from Sarteneja tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be a new role for me – my job is to do whatever is needed to make things run smoothly.  Here’s hoping!!!

It has been a mad scramble to get everything organized in just 1 month but we did it!  More news and photos coming soon.

Wherever you live, help prevent the euthanasia of homeless animals.

HAVE YOUR PET SPAYED OR NEUTERED  🙂
